Northwest has always been committed to empowering, supporting, and encouraging women to excel both professionally and personally. The EmpowerHER Summit is dedicated to fostering leadership by bringing together women in leadership roles and those aspiring to lead. Through engaging conversations, powerful stories, and actionable leadership strategies, attendees will gain valuable insights and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
In collaboration with the Maryville community, we will also spotlight local women-owned businesses. Meet inspiring entrepreneurs, hear their journeys, and gain tools to support your own entrepreneurial aspirations.

Northwest Women’s Leadership Awards honor and recognize those within our community who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to supporting, advocating for, and establishing equity for others. Nominations are solicited from all members of the campus community. This year, we will be making up to four awards.
Award nomination submission deadline is Feb. 28.
Jill Brown is a farm kid, marathon runner, lover of food on a stick, and assistant vice president of advancement at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. Prior to her current role in Missouri, she worked in various external relations roles at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Jill has a speaking business, Collisions of Awesomeness, where she speaks about gratitude, networking, and a variety of other personal development topics.
